Thankful
Today is thanksgiving in Canada and I can't help but feel that I have so much to be thankful for. With so much happening in the world right now it's easy to feel the sadness and disappointment for tragic events that seem to happen more and more frequently. Today however I'm focussing on the good. I'm taking time to recognize how lucky I am to have SO much goodness in my life.
I'm thankful for James. The man who moved to the other side of the world so that we could be together. He keeps me calm, he helps me in more ways than I could ever articulate and I feel so fortunate to have him always by my side.
I'm thankful for Herman. Oh this dog of mine....he's done more for me than he'll ever know. For over 7 years I've had Herman to cuddle with and make me laugh and smile and for his sweet little heartbeat and waggy tailed kisses I am forever grateful.
I'm thankful for my friends and family who fill my cup, make me smile, lend an ear when I need to vent and who above all are always so understanding. I'm so fortunate to have a truly incredible support group and I feel so lucky to have so so many incredible people in my life that I can turn to in both the happy times and in the not-so-happy times too.
I'm thankful that I live in a beautiful country where I have rights and freedoms and safety that I know isn't the same across the world. I'm thankful for my beautiful home that James and I have built together and that we spend time in every day. I'm thankful for all of the goodness in my life and when times get tough, I always try to focus on the good in my life and there is so much of it, I'm very lucky. And lastly I'm thankful for all of you. Without anyone reading or commenting or liking what I do at 204 Park I wouldn't be able to have this crazy job of mine that I love and that I feel so lucky to have.
There's always so much for us to be thankful for so today and every day, take a minute and show some gratitude for some of the goodness in your life too! Happy Thanksgiving everyone xo
