One Year at the #204ParkHouseBuild
Holy man you guys, does time ever fly by! July marked one year in our home and I can't believe how quickly the year passed. I feel a lot for James because I know that between my design background and blogging job, our home has already seen quite a few changes in decor and furnishings but what can I say, I like to switch things up! haha
I thought today would be a fun day to take a bit of a stroll down memory lane and take a look at what some of the rooms looked like when we moved in and where they are now.
I'm really happy with our home but I won't lie, we've still got lots to do but these things take time. This past year has been so hectic that there are lots of items on our lists to do that we haven't gotten around to just yet but for now, take a look at our humble abode! :)

Front Entry
When we first moved in we didn't give a whole lot of love to our front entry. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to achieve but pulling together the look took a bit of time. I'm really happy now with the look with our console table, ottomans and simple styling!

Living Room
Our living room hasn't seen too much change aside from some artwork swap outs, a few new chairs and side tables. Big on my wish list for this space is a new area rug but we have yet to find the perfect one just yet (that doesn't break the bank) so that's still on the list but here's a few pics of that space over the past year!

Dining Room
I love our dining room and it's definitely seen some changes. What started as a pretty bare and sparse space has turned into a cozy corner of our home I love! We've currently swapped out our dining set for this warmer set from the Brick (tables and chairs info below) for shooting some fall content so stay tuned for that!

Office
My office has probably seen the most change since we've moved in and I feel like this room is always going to be rotating as my style and decor preferences change. When we first moved in I set up my desk against the wall and had a chair in the corner but as my need for more storage came up, the chair moved and out came more bookshelves for storage and display. Again, much like the rest of our house this space is definitely not done. I have a few DIYs for the walls that need to go up and a new light fixture is in order but right now I love my bright and quirky space to work in!

Spare Bedroom
When it came to our spare bedroom we were starting from scratch. While the rest of our house is pretty modern and eclectic the spare room is decidedly a little more classic. We wanted the space to feel really cozy and inviting and most importantly, comfortable. I love how we have our room styled now that it's painted a warmer light greige and accessorized with soft colors and textures. What a difference the right bedding, a warm paint refresh and styling makes!

Bedroom
Lastly is our bedroom, a space that admittedly hasn't seen much change since we've moved in. To be honest, this space has never felt quite right to me and while we're pretty happy with where things are at, we have some lighting plans that will make a difference and are on the hunt for a few vintage pieces but for now I love the warmth and coziness of this room!

Throughout this past year The Brick has played a huge role in helping us get settled into our new home. I've been so happy with how many more modern and contemporary options The Brick has these days! When you're moving into a new home there's usually so. much you need! We've been able to get everything from televisions to vacuums, fans (praise be to my dyson! haha) to mattresses and of course lots of incredible stylish pieces I love! I've rounded up a few of my favourite more modern finds from The Brick below, which is your favourite?!
