Let's Talk Accessories!

One of the most frequent design questions I get asked about ALL the time is about accessories. Once you've got the basics of your space figured out, the accessories are the final finishing touch that really tie a room together. Accessories can make or break a space and for me, they're the most fun!

I love constantly changing up our accessories and vignettes at our house. Seasonally they're great to rotate, it's fun to bring new pieces in occasionally and switch things up and they're also fantastic because typically, switching up your accessories can be a really simple and affordable way to change up your decor. 

One of my go-to resources to find accessories is from The Brick! I won't lie though, up until about a year or so ago, I didn't even realize The Brick carried so many accessories! If you followed along with my insta stories last week and saw my shopping spree then you'll know what I'm talking about but if not, let me tell ya - The Brick carries a TON of accessories with options that are both trendy and classic, and affordable too! I've since learned that The Brick carries EVERYTHING you could possibly need when it comes to accessories. They carry great faux greenery (check out my faux fig plant below!), tons of candles (I stocked up on some amazing smelling candles last week in store), cushions and throws (perfect for fall) and of course accessories like vases and other decorative objects galore!

Every store is slightly different (I usually hit up the South Edmonton Common store in Edmonton) and they're getting in new accessories all the time so every time you go chances are there will be something new! 

Today I want to show off my re-accessorized living room with pieces I got from The Brick. Starting with some simple pieces, I went to town adding a bit of personality and fun to the space with pieces that are almost exclusively from The Brick. With the exception of my flowers, trays and books, everything else you see from the blanket to the faux greenery, the candles and accessories is from The Brick!  My living room space on it's own is a very blank canvas so it allows for lots of fun with accessories!
