While I love to dress in bold colors and find unique pieces, most of the time I dress in a bit of a "uniform". My style is pretty casual but still feminine and this outfit basically sums up my summer style. A comfortable dress, jean jacket, hat, my Poppy Barley's and a bit of bling.

My most recent wardrobe addition is this wristlet from Poppy Barley. I've sung Poppy Barley's praises many times on this blog but I just love their philosophy of creating footwear and accessories that are ethically made, classically styled and made to last. The older I get, the more I appreciate quality over quantity and I can respect craftsmanship over fast fashion. Not to mention, the fact that they're a Canadian business run by women is also a reason I love to support. Another Canadian, women owned & run business I've recently come to love is Foxy Originals. Their story is pretty incredible, starting by making jewellery in high school and transitioning it to a full time career after university, Jennifer and Suzy have created a line of jewellery that is both affordable and stylish. They have a great recycle program and they strongly believe in giving back. So let's give it up for amazing Canadian women run fashion businesses like Poppy Barley and Foxy Originals for changing the fashion game ethically and stylishly!

PS, I cannot say enough good things about these shoes. I came thiiiiiis close to buying this pair this year but thanks to the #204ParkHouseBuild, most of my money is going to house expenses so new shoes weren't in the budget for this year but I can tell you that I have worn these shoes pretty much every day of spring and summer thus far for the past two years now. So get yourself a pair, you will not regret it!
