Poppy Barley DIY
As you guys might remember from my post last week, my girl Sarah and I hosted an amazing party at Poppy Barley to celebrate their summer collection! We had a fabulous time hanging with some of our favourite blogger friends and business savvy ladies and in addition to our ice cream sandwiches, daiquiri station and just overall ooh-ing and ahh-ing over the beautiful shoes we wanted to give our guests a little somethin' somethin' to take away!
I love the blog A Pair and a Spare for her gorgeous minimalist projects and as soon as we partnered with Poppy Barley, I knew that the DIY leather trinket dish would be a perfect project for the party. I'm all for giving credit where credit is due so know that this DIY is totally not my original idea!! You can see the original post here with instructions or scroll down below to see my interpretation of how to make this easy project for yourself!
Supplies: You'll need a piece of leather (the small tray is a triangle with 6" sides and the larger is 10" sides), a pen, ruler, scissors, 3 sets of studs per dish and a leather multi tool (there are other ways you can puncture the leather if you don't have a multi-tool, it's just much easier with!
Start by using your ruler to trace your triangle and cut it out. Then, using the leather punch, punch two holes in the corners of the triangles, about 1-2cm from the corners and about 1 cm in from the edges. You'll then secure the corners with the studs and you're done! How simple is that?!
Big thanks to Paula for the snaps of our guests DIY-ing at our Poppy Barley party!
