Our Stay At Rowena's Inn

If you've been following along with the blog over the past few weeks then chances are you've seen me posting about the trip that James and I took to Abbotsford and the surrounding area. We flew into Abbotsford with New Leaf Travel and spent a few days exploring the city before making our way to Harrison Hot Springs and finally, to our final destination, Rowena's Inn on the river

Rowena's Inn is an English-style manor that was converted into a boutique bed and breakfast and is located on a 160 acre waterfront estate in the Fraser Valley. Simply put, this place is amazing. Probably the most peaceful stop during our stay, James and I fell in love with Rowena's Inn.

We were fortunate enough to get to stay in one of the four cottages on the property and we were welcomed with a cheese plate and bottle of white wine which was the very best welcome we could have received!

Our cottage was so relaxing. We had a beautiful deck that faced the wooded area before the golf course, we had a wood burning fireplace and heated floors in the bathroom where we had a jacuzzi tub! James and I both felt immediately relaxed as soon as we walked into our cabin.

In addition to how relaxing and cozy our cabin was, what really took our breath away was how beautiful the grounds of the estate were! The grounds of the Inn and cabins are surrounded by beautiful trees and paths that are just gorgeous. The Inn backs onto the Sandpiper Golf Course which is absolutely beautiful and adds to the relaxing feel of the grounds.

There's also a beautiful swimming pool at the Inn that was undergoing renovations while we were there but that is so gorgeous! I told James I want to go back already so we can sit out by that beautiful pool and soak up some sunshine!

After we arrived and enjoyed our cheese plate and wine, we decided to tour the grounds a bit and get in some blog photos. This estate is so beautiful and calming, we had the best time just relaxing and snapping photos in all of the areas of the grounds.

Later that night we made our way to the clubhouse restaurant for dinner where we enjoyed the last meal of our trip and were able to talk about what a great time we had. I'm so glad that James and I were able to get away and explore areas of BC we had never been to before. Harrison Mills was the perfect last stop on our trip. We left Rowena's Inn feeling relaxed and rejuvenated and already wanting to go back.

A walk around the course and down the pier after dinner ended our stay at Rowena's as our flight left early the next morning. I'm sad our stay was so short but I know that James and I will be back. It's easy to see why Jillian Harris loves this place, it is a special place that I hope one day you'll get to enjoy as well!
