DIY Refreshing Cucumber Mint Face Mask

With the scorcher of a week we just had - I could almost open a hot yoga studio in my living room. To beat the heat and give your sweaty face some TLC - try out the DIY face mask. The mint works as antiseptic that will cool down your skin, while combating blemishes and tightening the skin. The cucumber works to reduce oiliness, tighten pores, and reduce under eye circles (yes!). Yogurt combines with the cukes to remove dirt and dead skin cells, while adding just enough hydration to this summery astringent mask.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Total Time on Skin: 25 mins

What you'll need:

  • 5-10 mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp plain greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1 table spoon non fat dry milk

Maybe grab some limes white you're at it. Mojito's anyone?

What to do:

  • toss all of these ingredients in a blender
  • blend until smooth
  • mask yourself

Other Tidbits:

The mask is quite runny at first thanks to the watery nature of the cucumber. I applied a thin layer to my face (after washing of course) and let dry before applying second light layer. Now relax for the next 25 mins while your face emits the aroma of your favourite juice bar. Feeling fancy? Pop two of those cuke slices over your eyes to reduce redness and swelling.
