Decorative Touches from Enlightened Decor
Hello friends, it’s been a minute since I’ve posted on here! Things with Kresswell Interiors have been so busy that I’ve been neglecting this blog a bit but today I’m excited to share with you a post with you about a new(er) to the scene Edmonton based decor business - Enlightened Decor.
Enlightened Decor is an online shop that carries beautiful imported decor pieces from Bali. What I love most about this business though is that I went to school with Karina, who owns the business with her husband. I remember when I was taking residential interiors at the U of A and first met Karina (when she was pregnant with her first of now 3 kids!!) that she mentioned right away that her dream was to have a business importing decor goods from Bali and fast forward now, she’s done just that!
I just love that Karina and her husband have done exactly what they set out to do so many years ago and now, I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to select a few decorative touches from Enlightened Decor of my own that I’ve been incorporating into a few of my Kresswell Interiors design projects as well as in my own home.
Some of my favourite pieces from Enlightened Decor are their beautiful candles and beaded baskets so take a scroll through these photos to see my favourite pieces on display in my own home and in a few Kresswell projects too! Which pieces are your favourite?!
Look for these pieces below
ONYX small round CANDLE // Layered diamond BEADED BASKET TRIO // small teakwood bowl candle // teakwood vessel candle // medium teakwood bowl candle
And a few of my other favourites…..
lava stone bowl candle // open bowl glass on root // light grey marble candle (love the whole trio of sizes!) // The shallow beaded boxes are so pretty // striped teakwood candle
Check out the small onyx candle we used to stage The Aspen Abode for a Kresswell Interiors shoot!
We used one of the large beaded baskets to style the shelves at The Aspen Abode as well but they live permanently in my house! They first started in my front entry (spot the vessel candle too?) but have since moved to the living room (as has the vessel candle!). You guys know by now that things don’t stay in one spot for long at my house! haha
You can see as I’ve restyled my shelves over the past little while it’s been easy to incorporate some of the wooden candles into my decor as they’re such great pieces to use when building vignettes! I also moved the little onyx candle onto my coffee table and love it nestled on the tray with some of my other favourite pieces! Also down at the bottom, you can see a peek at an upcoming Kresswell Interiors project where we used the little round wooden candle in the laundry room!
A big thank you to Enlightened Decor for all of the gorgeous pieces!
