Set The Table With Style, and a DIY!
The holidays are the perfect time for hosting friends and showing a little extra love with a few special gifts for your loved ones and today, I want to share a really fun idea with you. Over the holidays I like to try to get together with a few of my favourite ladies and we usually exchange a few gifts too. This year I thought it would be a great idea to add a little bit of a twist
If you've been following the blog for a while now, chances are you already know about my love for Fifth Avenue Collection, the Canadian company carrying the cutest earrings, bracelets, necklaces and more! When it comes to their collection, I'm particularly fond of their earrings. I'm a big fan of pretty studs and they make a great affordable gift idea for your girlfriends.
This year, I thought a cute twist on the traditional gift giving exchange would be to make a simple DIY that I promise, anyone can do. Here's what you'll need:
Scissors // Ribbon or Twine of choice // Tags // Gold Pen // Earrings - I chose Fifth Avenue Collections' Pretty in Pearls, Clover Pearls, Get Up And Go and City Style studs
To begin, you'll want to grab your gold pen and write the recipients name on the tag and allow to dry. Once dry, take your stud and pierce the tag, placing the back of the earring on the back of the tag. From there, cut your ribbon, twine or string and tie the tag like an ornament.
Once the tag is complete, you have a cute personalized "ornament" with a gift for each of your friends. From here you can choose to hang these on your tree, place them on each plate or do what I did and attach them to the centerpiece of the tablescape so when your friends go to sit down, they're met with a sparkly surprise!
Earrings are a really affordable gift idea for your friends but you could make this idea work with a necklace or hairpins or get creative with other pieces too!
